Roots & Shoots RMHC Meals of Love
Roots & Shoots, a Youth Movement founded by Jane Goodall covered WUF’s monthly Meal of Love and Joy at the Ronald McDonald House Charities Baltimore. WUF volunteers regularly come together to serve home-cooked dinners and provide uplifting activities for families supporting children with serious illnesses. By creating a warm and welcoming space filled with food, music, and community, we are able to share comfort and compassion with families during some of their most difficult moments—living out our mission to unite hearts through service.

WTOP News on Super Joey Greater DC Branch’s Growth
WTOP Local News covered how, since the beginning of fifth grade, the Super Joey launched a heartfelt mission—collecting overflowing gift donations for our local RMHC. Since then, our passion for service has blossomed: now in high school, we’ve rallied more than 60 student volunteers from 15 different schools to deliver monthly meals and uplifting performances to families staying at the Ronald McDonald House of Maryland in Baltimore. What began as a simple gift drive has become a community-spanning act of kindness, expanding thanks to the growth, dedication, and spirit of our young volunteers
